iAuthorship: Click, Drag-n-Drop, and Create Interactive Books

THIS EVENT IS BY INVITATION ONLY
With iBooks Author, you and your students can fulfill your potential as publishing authors. Not only can you create interactive multi-touch textbooks, but your students can create their own books, included embedded images, movies, audio clips, and links to the Internet. Walk away from this workshop with your freshly created books that can be shared and enjoyed on any iOS device, such as an iPod touch or iPad.

Participants need to bring the following: their own Apple laptop with a minimum of Mac OS 10.7 (Lion); iBooks Author; digital audio content, such as PowerPoint presentations, lesson notes, images, video clips, and audio clips; attendees need an iTunes account; bring a flash drive with lesson content, or have access to lesson content online (e.g. Dropbox); bring an iOS device (iPod touch, iPhone, or iPad) with a minimum of iOS 5.0.1 to preview interactive iBooks and to Interact with their finished books.

iPad changes the way teachers and students access the web, share media, and learn on the go. CUE’s iPad Professional Development takes participants from opening the box & setting up their new iPad to having teachers ready to use it when they walk into the classroom the next day. A major focus will be on applications that can be used in the classroom to engage and ignite student learning and creativity.
This engaging workshop covers the initial setup of iPad, how to add content, how to make the most of iTunes U, and how to find the best educational Apps available - including Apps for creating content and media! An overview of mobile learning in the classroom, and cutting-edge 1:1 programs.
Time permitting, the session includes a primer on using the mobile version of Google Docs (and Forms). Fun hands-on activities and opportunities to explore new Apps make this session a highlight whenever it's presented.
Participants receive an iPad wifi only 16GB. NOTE: Equipment subject to change and may not be most current version if updated within 2 months of conference.

Dive into Google! Brought to you by Computer Using Educators (CUE), the producers of the Google Teacher Academy, the Advanced Google Workshop for Educators (GWE) invites participants to delve into innovative ways Google tools can be used in education. A full day of fast-paced presentations and hands-on activities such as experience with managing the document inbox, sharing collections, beyond the basics in Google Docs, advanced features in Google Sites, using Forms to create rubrics, investigating scripts and creating interactive Maps. Google Certified Teachers share ways they've implemented tools such as Google Docs, Google Maps, Google Sites, and... even more. Participants who complete the event are given access to the Google Workshops for Educators Network (GWEN), an online community focused on supporting educators as they learn more about the power of Google to drive student learning. This event will feature the use of Chromebooks for all participants. This workshop is for advanced users. CUE is an official Google Professional Development partner. No meals are included.

Drill Down Into Content with Digital Storytelling
