This session will chronicle the stages of a 1:1 roll out of over 3,000 iPads in 4 middle schools within a large urban school district. Each stage of the roll out will address the challenges, successes and lessons learned from the perspective of the supervising district administrator and school based instructional staff. Session attendees will engage in this experience via an iBook presentation detailing the 6 stages of effective implementation: Exploration and Adaptation, Program Installation, Initial Implementation, Full operation, Innovation and Sustainability. The session will equip attendees with information to successfully implement a 1:1 roll out of instructional technology at the district, school or classroom level.
